Today, students in the Onondaga Community College Honors Capstone course "Darwin in Discourse" divided into two teams to represent two sides of the social-cultural debate regarding penguins as represented in the documentary MARCH OF THE PENGUINS. The teams represented either the "Intelligent Design" philosophy or "Animal Adaptation / Natural Selection (Evolution)" theory. 38 minutes of the debate was captured, but the last bit of the debate was not due to a lack of room on the memory card used.
The debate was captured in 256kbps audio on a ZOOM H2 digital recorder provided by student Andrew Borchik. Only the rear 120-degree microphones were used as the recorder was positioned close to the discussion panel. Thanks to Professor Tom Keenan for starting the recording and minding the device during the debate.
